CON_ Gallery Tokyo is proud to present the solo show Situation als Akt 12,39,72,3,16  by German sculptor and conceptual artist Philipp Groth.
Groth’s first solo exhibition at the gallery continues the artist’s intuitive practice of transforming everyday materials into ephemeral situations. Groth uses charcoal drawings to describe the interdependencies held contained in these arrangements which feature both manufactured and natural components. Overall, the exhibition carves out space for the viewer to reconnect with the flow of materials in the city, forming a vocabulary that describes the ambiguity of collective memory, time and space. Situation als Akt 12,39,72,3,16 is supported by The School of the Art Institute of Chicago Dean Professional Development Award.
